Professional Land Surveyor
Engineering Technician
- Assist Design Engineers with the preparation of plans. Proficient AutoCAD skills are a must, with experience in Civil 3D a bonus.
- Prepare construction layout points for use by the survey crew.
- Perform construction observation services in the field.
- Project manage small land development and utility design projects from start to finish.
- Perform preliminary research in office and at the courthouse in preparation for the survey project.
- Collection of all survey data pertinent to the completion of the project.
- Work on survey crew performing all types of surveys. Direct experience as a party chief not required but please note it in your resume if you have this experience.
- Preparation of clear, legible, and organized field notes to assist the designer/surveyors with their projects and to prepare as-built plans per client or municipal requirements.
- Maintenance of survey vehicle and equipment.
- Act as a field liaison for our clients and project managers.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible civil engineering land development related experience.
- Experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
- Experience as a Construction Observer.
- Expertise with Trimble GPS and Robotic survey equipment.
- Proficient AutoCAD skills in both design and survey (Civil 3D experience preferred)
- Clean driver’s license and the ability to travel on an as-needed basis.

Professionally Licensed Civil Engineer
- Prepare detailed grading plans and cut-fill quantities.
- Prepare stormwater calculations and facilities design.
- Underground utility design (sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water mains)
- Interact with municipal, county, state and federal plan reviewers.
- Develop schedules and meet deadlines.
- Other tasks related to design plans for site plans, roadway plans, subdivisions, underground utilities, etc., etc.
- P.E. License with Land Development Experience
- 5 years of progressively responsible land development design experience.
- Strong Civil 3D Skills.
- Licensed in Illinois at a minimum, Iowa is a plus or willing to file with NCEES for ease of reciprocity.
- Clean driver’s license and the ability to travel on an as-needed basis.
- Willingness to go the extra mile and do whatever it takes to make a client happy.
- Willingness to answer emails and phone calls before, during and after hours, and on weekends.
Land Survey Crew Chief
- Perform preliminary research in office and at the courthouse in preparation for the survey project.
- Collection of all survey data pertinent to the completion of the project.
- Preparation of clear, legible, and organized field notes to assist the designer/surveyors with their projects.
- Maintenance of survey vehicle and equipment.
- Act as a field liaison for our clients and project managers.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible surveying experience.
- Experience performing boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, FEMA surveys, topographic surveys and construction layout.
- Expertise with Trimble GPS and Robotic survey equipment.
- Experience with AutoCAD software (Civil 3D experience preferred)
- LSIT License or CST Certification
- Clean driver’s license and the ability to travel on an as-needed basis.
Professional Land Surveyor
- Perform preliminary research in office and at the courthouse and prepare job files for the field crews.
- Compute land survey boundaries, prepare staking files for construction layout, and prepare various types of survey plats.
- Effectively communicate survey results to clients and project managers.
- Oversight of field crews collecting data for your assigned projects.
- Organization and management of survey field books, records, and files.
- Assist Corporate land Survey Manager and other project managers as required.
- Assist with Bids and Proposals.
- Review of Deliverables and delivery of products.
- Fill in as a Survey Crew Chief when necessary.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible surveying experience.
- Expertise performing boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, FEMA surveys, topographic surveys and construction layout.
- Expertise with Trimble GPS and Robotic survey equipment.
- Expertise with AutoCAD software (Civil 3D experience preferred)
- Knowledge of field to finish survey procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- PLS Licensure in Illinois (Iowa PLS Licensure is a plus)
- Clean driver’s license and the ability to travel on an as-needed basis.
